November page is done

With the thoughts of Thanksgiving this month I found myself thinking of family.My family has been truly blessed this past year.In this page I used some of the beads that grandma had given me.I had a picture of a warm comfy quilt in my mind.Kind of a special hug from each family member.I am thankful for each member of my family even with our ups and downs.

October page done

It was interesting how this page went together.I tried adding more beads only to rip them back off again.It was meant to be a simple enjoyment of the fall colors.I am learning to let the beads speak to me.Fall is always so full of colors.What a wonderful time of the year.Now that this page is finished I can go to the pumpkin patch and corn maze this weekend.

October and fall is in the air

Wow I am enjoying my October page.I chose the changing fall colors.I love the fall trips in the semi with my husband. I get to admire all of falls wonderful colors.This page will always bring back fond memories.I will post the picture when it is finished.

Sept page

I am so ready for some football.I look forward to watching the Seahawks win.

September has also seen a second death in my family.I am thankful I have my beadwork to comfort me at times.

August page

August is titled Out Of The Scars Of My Childhood.I had a lot of hurt and pain as I was growing up.This was a great way to let go of the negatives.I was able to see the positives that I have learned from those times.This was a difficult page to work on at times.I can now say that I have left the hurt behind me.

July finally posted

July was a very sad time for me.Grandma passed away.She is the one that hooked me on beading.I will always treasure the times we shared.I truly believe she is enjoying the flowers in heaven.I love her and miss her dearly.

Still beading away

Wow the summer is almost over and I haven't been back to my blog.Hopefully this week I can get pictures uploaded for July and August.I am starting to feel some healing of emotions as I bead along.Robin this is a great idea!

I still need to add the date into the left space but it is done other then that. I wanted to bring back memories of sharing time with my Grandpa Jim and my dad enjoying the beauty of nature and wildlife. They both have instilled in me a love for just watching the animals. I spent time visiting Northwest Trek and reflecting on wonderful memories from my childhood. This page in the journal will always bring back fond memories and put a smile on my face. Since I did not have as much time as I would have liked this page was not entirely covered in beads but was embellished to add dimension to the fabric.

First page almost finished

Well here it is the first day of July.I have my June page almost finished.I have had a lot of things going on in my life lately so it was a struggle to get this page done.I have the theme for my July page already set and beads gathered.Hopefully I will find more time to work on it then I had in June.
